Didn't notice the SF tab in earlier pictures. Be neat to see how he deals with the Musa Qala issue in Helmand and what stance he takes in the spring offensive. I'd rather be doing stuff instead of sitting in a static defensive in Panjwai. But that's just me.

In fact I've never seen him wear it or know his situation...i.e. year group stuff.

I know he has a Ranger Tab as well, that is what he wore (along with the airborne tab) in all of the photos I have seen of him when he was 18th ABN Corps CG.
Either he doesn't wear it because he knows he never really served in SF (and he stayed Infantry when the time to branch SF came), or he wears the one that he feels is most appropriate at the time, or most politically expedient. Why drag it out now? Street creds?
Never seen a Counter Insurgency Protocol Officer either, and it would have taken most of his time there to get through the SFQC. TDY to Vietnam? WTFO? Is COIN the buzzword of the month?
