Good Find...and there are 3 available and free shipping.
I might have to take him up on one.

I would not be surprised if these were grey market items, and that Mr. Harsey does not get his royalty for the sales. Just a caveat, and a suspicion.

I've already e-mailed the seller asking for more pics etc.

I got a D2 at SHOT - it's being held hostage in Oregon at the moment, which is cool, I think 'auto open' knives are considered friearms in NJ, unless you are active mil or LEO. Sweet piece of steel, really fits the hand well.

Got mine from Lone Wolf, for a little less than the price you're quoted SGM, go directly to Lone Wolf Kinves, you might get it for a little less.

Nobody can outbid me!! It's mine, mine, mine - Gunner is just holding it hostage - to force me to move to the PNW - which actually sounds good after residing in NJ for nearly 5 years.

How do you figure it's a copy? I have done business with TAD in the past and they seem to be above the boards.

Good times,

I have to agree with Blake, SGM.

I do not think there is a market of bootleg D2s. Yet. Nor would TAD sell them if there was.

Has anyone asked Lone Wolf or Mr. Harsey of fakes/copies have been sighted? I think some of these discount websites are making the profit margin on volume sales not the individual sale....ofcourse I could be incorrect.
As far as royalties, wouldn't that likely be at the point of initial sale/distribution; once it leaves the Lone Wolf factory, credit is given to the designer, not after retail sale.
I bought my son's T1 on line and Mr Harsey said it was GTG...I think he would have seen if it was substandard while he had it

This may be a unique sale. The merchant has/had three. They could have been acquired through a liquidation sale (another business that folded), insurance carrier claim or some other type of distress sale. I have seen them before, they are usually odd lots and the saler can not repeat the sale when quantities are gone.

That's a legit knife, no issue. My name is on the other side of the blade.

If it leaves Lone Wolf, I get paid.

To date, if the knife is marked "Lone Wolf" it is the real thing.
We have seen some cheap knock offs of the design from China but they use another name on the knife. If the price on the knife is $ 7.95, that's a clue.

If in doubt, always ask here.

I know nothing about any D2. Search my residence... there is no D2 in my house. It may have moved to a different hostage facility in Oregon. :munchin

Not to mention the disappointment.

Unless the D2 arrives with one or two of Jersey's finest attached.

You know, that D2 might just take it into its blade to take over x sf med's mind, and force him to attack 10 or 20 people who are just minding their own business. What a stupid law.

Punish criminals, not the instrument.

TR-
The D2 has been calling to me - telling me I need to reunite it with my Sebenza, GB, and the rest of the collection... most of which are larger and more dangerous than the D2, it is a stupid law, and I'm sure some of the items I've collected over the years are illegal here, but they're put away safely, and only get taken out late at night, with the shades drawn, using a surefire with a red lens to look at them. I could probably do as much damage to the 20 people in NJ with a really sharp pencil, or a pointy stick (no nail, that's NDD's toy).

Just South of Oregon in the PDRC (People's Democratic Republic of California) many everyday items in Oregon are illegal. Some how there is a belief that some items can cause a psychological change in a person. A person holding a 10 round magazine is a law biding citizen, but if they pick up a larger capacity magazine, they will go out in a uncontrollable stupor and commit a crime.

I understand that the UK is pretty nasty on knives too.

Hollis,
The knife laws in the UK went full draconian a few years ago. The carry of even the simplest pocket knife is now outlawed unless you can prove the knife is required by your work.

There is a serious movement in the UK to ban the possession of chef knives in private homes.

I will not ship any more knives to the UK because if they are taken by customs, both the owner to be and me are out the money.

The Reaper
01-31-2007, 10:46
Roger that.

I was in London last year and they were discussing upping the penalty further for carrying any kind of knife on your person.

I am sure that has driven crime rates to bedrock levels, since any criminals would immediately cease and desist carrying knives to commit crimes because it is now illegal.

I own a Lone Wolf T2 non-auto in cocobolo wood. The wood was too thin at the front and chipped off. With that little surface area rubber grips are more suitable.

Great knife and I had to wait until I found one in Canada since great knives can easily be flicked open 'gravity style' by custom agents

OhCanada, please read the stickys concerning intros here and then do accordingly. This is not a suggestion.
Thank you, Bill Harsey

Did you call Lone Wolf Knives or send the knife back to them for repair?

There are no rubber grips for the T-2 knife. Glass filled nylon, yes.
