First I never really knew this was the policy..but I will say it's about time for some change. I hope all the ROE changes for the better..Yesterday during the confirmation hearings for Patraeus, he basicly said "The gloves are coming off"

Should this policy also apply to any Syrians who are caught on the battlefield? I would think it should apply to any non-Iraqi personnel captured/killed.

Do you think Ahmadinejad wants an escalation? Most of the mullahs and others in Iran just seem to be power-hungry, but Ahmadinejad is a full-on froot loop. I'm wondering how much he will try to provoke us so he can usher in the return of the 12th Imam.

I love reading news articles with an almost horizontal liberal slant.
It would seem I should feel bad that we are willing to kill ANY asshole trying to un-do 4 years of work and countless $billions in support. I know SF goes through painstaking efforts to stabilize communities and collect weapons and explosives to prevent exactly what has been going on. It should have been dealt with much earlier.
