View Full Version : Lipstick in School

A certain private school in Seattle, Wash. was recently faced
with a unique problem. A number of twelve year old girls were
starting to use lipstick and would put it on in the bathroom.
That was fine, but after they had it on they would press their
lips to the mirror leaving dozens of little lip prints.

Every night the maintenance man would remove them and the
next day the girls would put them back.

Finally the principal decided that something had to be done.
She called all the girls to the bathroom and met them there
with the maintenance man. She explained that all these lip
prints were causing a major problem for the custodian who
had to clean the mirrors every night. (You can just imagine
all the yawns from the little princesses!)

To demonstrate how difficult it was to clean the mirrors,
she asked the maintenance man to show the girls how much
effort was required. He took out a long handled squeegee,
dipped it in the toilet, and cleaned the mirror with it.

Since then there have been no lip prints on the mirrors.

There are teachers.......and then there are educators.

Excellent post! That is thinking outside the box. I can almost hear the squeals of disgust from the 'little princesses'.

You all do realize that it's an OLD joke?

Kinda like the Old man and the women that kept skinny dipping in his private fishing pond.

BMT,

I had to laugh when I read this, because I know just the HS they're talking about. Got to wondering the veracity of the tale, so I hit up my trusty ol' friend, and got some interesting news. According to Snopes, the origins are in doubt, but once the tale spread via the Internet it has been used to great effect to deal with the real problem encountered in schools.

Maj M - Tequila is liquid brain remover isn't it? Bad experiences in TX, NM, Mexico with cheap tequila in the service and in college.

Sir,

It's a defensive mode. I'm desperately trying to remember that there is something that appears from the sky besides H2O in its liquid and solid forms. We're in ark building mode up here. Yuppers, breaking records left and right - and trees and houses and buildings and power poles and lines and cliffs and shorelines and creek and river and road and track beds and bridges and overpasses and...

NOT that this is a bad thing! Years like this definitely separate the true web feet from the wanna-be's. Looking forward to the drop in real estate prices and general mass exodus as the wusses vacate my beloved drippy, dreary PNW. :D

+1 LL!!

I miss the hell out of the PNW! Hopefully you're right about the housing prices so the missus and I can buy a place when I finish my work here in NC. Enjoy the clean up and have a fine brew for me from one of the many brewers in the area.

Cheers!

LOL - It's wishful thinking, I'm afraid. They've gone so far up, it's scary. :(
