This was a hell of a thing to wake up to this morning. Not surprised, really...but it still makes me feel ill.

Well, if nothing else, 2008 should be quite interesting politically. I don't think hellary is the political dynamo that people are fearing; she will turn out to be quite divisive (I hope).

Let's go with Circle 8, Bolgia 5.

Bolgia 5: Corrupt politicians (barrators) are immersed in a lake of boiling pitch, guarded by devils, the Malebranche ("Evil Claws").

I'm hoping that she IS divisive, and becomes a nonthreat. It still concerns me to no end. You could see this day coming for the past seven years. This has been talked about since the day Bill Clinton left office.

If she could become Senator of New York without actually being a real resident there, maybe we could encourage her to move to England long enough to run for Tony Blair's soon-to-be vacant post. Who knows...stranger things have happened.

Anyone else remember CHINA GATE?

(The Chinese donating large sums to the Clintons)

Now read UNRESTRICTED WARFARE [this is a MUST READ for professional military personnel, senior leaders, war planners and anyone remotely involved in homeland security]:

http://www.terrorism.com/documents/TRC-Analysis/unrestricted.pdf

Written by two Colonels in the Chinese Army, it advocates exactly that as one of many methods of defeating an opponent. Corruption...there's a concept that works.

My point?

Let's keep an eye on the campaign war chests and who's filling them...

Oh, absolutely. While many are enamored of hellary, there are many within her own party that will do anything to stop her. All of her past corruption will definitely see the light of day; whch democRAT opponent can pass up her stupid $100,000.00 cattle deal?

The reason I think that 2007 and 2008 will be interesting politically is because I look forward to the nastiness that will come out in the democRAT primaries. hellary is already going after Barack Hussein Obama, revealing his schooling in a madrasa. This is going to get good, I expect.

Polictical Cannabilism :o

Indeed. And I look forward to it. To me, the best politics are when the opponents expend energy attacking each other.

Unfortunately they don't get their just deserts until they enter the afterlife. That leaves the rest of us SCREWED in the meantime. I hope the internicine squabbling bleeds them dry before the election. The more bloodletting, the more attractive the lackluster Republican choices become. It's definately shaping up to be another "lesser of two evils" campaign. Peregrino

How can this be? She told the good people in the State of New York that she would not run for President when she announced her re-election campaign for the senate. Too bad the media haven't picked up on her big fat lie. The one nice thing is that we'll get to watch is the nasty cat fight between Obama and Clinton that is looming. It will seriously hurt whoever survives that brawl much like it hurt Kerry having to put down Dean.

Does anyone think that the Republican primaries will be any different?

With no one but "Moderate" (RINO) Repub candidates stepping-up, it will be equally ugly, if not moreso, as they try to retain the center while denying their liberal records.

As of right now, it appears that gun owners will be screwed, no matter who wins.

It will be the same on the Rep. side as well. This is the reason I can see Leiberman making a strong run, if he so chooses.

No. In an interview on one of the NY stations she was asked during the recent campaign for the US Senate why she was running for re-election if she was going to run for President. She said that she was only running for re-election.

Rudi/Condi v. Hillary/Obama

All hell would break loose...:munchin

Stay safe.

Guy,
Are you talking tickets or just those four squaring off against each other?

I can see a Rudi/Condi ticket, and IMO, that would make ONE HELL of a ticket.

But....

Hillary SHARING the limelight, with someone like Obama ...... that'd be like Hillary inviting Monica Lewinsky to move into her NYC apt with her, for some "Girl Time". Ain't gonna happen. Hillary's EGO is just too big to let that happen.

I would prefer Newt/Condi - Rudi is too much against the second amendment for my liking. Wondering if Trump will throw his hat in the ring this time. He thought about running in 2000 as a member of the reform party.

Greetings, and I hope I do not get flamed for saying this, but...I am all for female promotion in the workplace. I have had the pleasure of working with some very high-powered females in my short time here on this planet, and they all worked hard to get where they were.

But, I am curious how Our SOF community would feel if a female was elected POTUS? Most of my knowledge about SOF is that, aside from some support positions, SOF in all branches is limited to men for reasons that make PERFECT sense to me, as a female.
I just cannot see Hillary calling the shots.
Just my .02

Guy,
Are you talking tickets or just those four squaring off against each other? It'll be interesting to see how this plays out...

I believe Hillary is out front in the polls for the Dems and Rudy out front for the Reps. Condi would slaughter Obama in a debate yet; the media would give it to Obama.:( Anyways, Condi career ain't over either way it goes.;)

Rudy-vs-Hillary debate would be interesting to watch...:munchin

A Rudy v. Hillary would be interesting to watch, but how about a Condi v. Hillary debate ????.....could you say "Cat Fight to the Nth degree" :D

I had said this before, I think Hillary will be the Media darling in NH and Iowa, but come super Tuesday, I think she'll get a HUGE dose of reality and see that she isn't as well liked as she thinks she is. That would knock her and her HUGE ego down a few notches, and she won't accept it, and that I think will be her down fall.

For Democratic Advisers, A Season of Tough Choices
By Shailagh Murray and Peter Baker

They still have Iowa and New Hampshire to conquer, but Clinton, Obama and the other Democratic presidential contenders already are squaring off in what might be called the Rahm Primary, an early contest to win over the movers and shakers from the only Democratic administration in the last quarter-century.

As Clinton kicks off a bid to follow in her husband's footsteps to the White House, she is trying to reconstitute much of his old team.

My biggest fear is that she will implement The Fairness Doctrine.

If she gets it passed, and I can no longer listen to the Neal Boortz Show, I'm thinking it's time for revolution.

Then there's Hillary-care, which most of you know as socialized medicine. I've had government healthcare, and I'm not real fond of it.

Nope. Condi could be classified as an "Iron Lady" and I hope she runs in 2008.

I suspect if Maggie commented about Hillary she would say she had "gone wobbly".
