Should be run on TV every morning.

When I visited family back in ME this past summer, I noticed one of the more popular rock stations played the National Anthem at noon whenever I was tuned in. When I asked my family about it, they said the station does indeed play the National Anthem every day at noon, Monday through Friday. I only wish more stations would get on board.

Out here in Seattle, there's a country station that has played the National Anthem every day at noon since September 12, 2001. They've amassed quite a collection of country singers with live and studio versions. One of the versions they play with great regularity is the 82nd Airborne All American Chorus. I try to always take my lunch around noon so I can listen to it. Never get tired of that song.

If anyone wants to make a habit of it, they stream the station.

This is an awesome video. I really enjoy watching it.

Edit: For those who've requested - the station is KMPS. Google will take you straight to it.

Excellent video.

During the summer at my Yacht Club, I tend to sleep on the boat and get in to shore early enough to raise the Flag by 0700, usually very few people are around, but , It's an honor for me to pull reveille. At EENT, I'm usually still around on Sat and Sun Evenings, and get to run Retreat too - I get a bit pissed when men do not uncover at the bell (YCs always warn of retreat with a ship's bell, and occasionally a cannon shot) or ask why it takes me so much longer than 'the others' to lower the Flag. I have a buddy (never served) who generally helps fold the Flag, and we'll split carrying it "home" to the flag case. We have about 25 veterans at the club - out of 170 members, not a bad ratio.

Outstanding! Great find. David Huddleston and James McEachin are both fine actors, and it shows. That they are both veterans harkens back to a day when it was not so uncommon to find that among Hollywood's denizens, unlike today.

Is it okay if I got a bit misty? Must be the FOG in me, it strikes a bit close to home!

What comes to mind is honor and respect for their country. You could almost see them serving again if they were able, because of their admiration for the United States.

God Bless America and all that have served to preserve our freedom.
