Turn up the SA meter, keep your gear squared away and do your best. I'll wish you good luck too - but training is much more reliable than luck. Godspeed.

Stay alert, stay alive. Don't pick up a stray pop can on the side of the road to recycle it, and remember that haji is always listening.

Hey all,
Thought I would just check in let you all know I'm still alive and kickin. As I'm sure everyone know already everyone over here was extended 3 months. So that delays my return to the Q. But I'm staying real busy over here and over all doing quite well.
Hope everyone is having a good one.

I haven't posted in quite some time but thought I would give a brief update. My deployment is nearing its end, we are packing our D-bags and moving to the redeployment housing, op tempo is slowing and I find myself pulling more guard shifts in towers than patrols on the ground. I now fight more often being complacent than I do the enemy, It has been extremely quiet in my current AO.

I am looking forward to heading back to the states and some time spent with the family and friends, then back to finish the Q course. Taking part in a deployment with a line unit has done nothing less than reinforced my desire and passion to complete what I started, to earn the chance to work with true professionals. I have worked in this unit with some great men that know their job and will remain friends for I'm sure life, but the level of professionalism that I experienced here far differed from that I was used to in my time spent at Bragg in the course.

I would like to thank this site and those who participate on it again for the unique ability to offer not only great information and words of wisdom, but also to demonstrate the frame of mind and level of job satisfaction that those on here possess. It truly encourages one to go the extra 100k to get there.
