Damn I'm glad the AC-130's only had 'chine guns. Think of the damage any other weapons system might of caused. :p

Outstanding news. Hope those on the ground and air have a safe trip back home.
US intell has been aware of the situation there for a minimum of two years. Nice to see we finally hit that rats nest. Hope the last thing they saw was muzzle flash and the falling links started a few fires. :lifter

Unfortunately the AC-130 wasnt on station 14 years, 3 months, and 5 days ago...

Djibouti sucks..... Great work by our Air Force Guys... hopefully they got a break in Qatar or somewhere. Djibouti is the most savage place I have ever been. I hope they have done some improvements since 2002. If they got the AC-130s there they probably have.

Well then, I am not sure what I can say at this point.

Nothing but death "falls" from an AC-130. No links, no cases fall from the bird. I spent about eight hours in one once.;)
(You are thinking of an attack helo.)

Not even cigarettes from the aircrew??:D Thanks TS.
By the way thanks to all the QP's for training that fine Ethiopian infantry kicking the crap out of the Somali's and their new guests.

Go, go, Spectre! Nice to see the Ethiopians, Kenyans, and the US bringing some well-deserved pain to the terrorist asshats!
Edit: I see the Army or Marine Corps have joined in as well via attack helicoptors.
Unfortunately the AC-130 wasnt on station 14 years, 3 months, and 5 days ago...

Get some, boys!
As far as I am concerned, we still owe them quite a bit of unsettled payback.

Let's continue with AC-130, then let the RANGERS lay waste with some payback. Then just drop a MOAB on remaining evil do'ers.

This would make for good reading for Mr. Bill Clinton. NOTE: I do not like referring to him as "President"

Looks like we're not the only ones praising LTG Boykin's gunship attack on the jihadists.

Excerpt from Peters column:
But I can guarantee two things to Post readers: First, Somalia and the world are better off with the Islamists on the run and living in terror themselves, and, second, our special operations forces - from all of the services - are greater heroes than the history books or Hollywood films will ever be able to capture.
Well put Mr. Peters.
