To all my Brothers in the Sandbox, deployed in other garden spots, and the guys getting ready to deploy - De Oppresso Liber, Hold Hard and Honor above All. My wishes for your safety in the soon to be New Year. It will be a year of challenges, opportunities, action, training and danger - YOU ARE THE BEST, and I pray you all come home alive, whole and safely - although I know from the nature of your chosen profession that this will probably not happen.
To the guys in the Q Course, the Pipeline, and those thinking about joining the ranks of the QPs - be strong in your conviction to yourself and your brothers in training, the men you hope to join in SF are the people training you, the tests, the challenges, the perceived harassment are to make you sure that you are secure in your choice - look for the indefinable something deep inside that makes a man a QP, if you have it you'll know, if you don't it will show. Train as though your life and the lives of others depend on it - because that's the bottom line.
To those, like me, who are out of the game - continue your support of our Brothers - Deployed, in Garrison, At SWC - not that I need to ask this, it is ingrained, we are SF.
To all of the US Service People - your service does not go unnoticed, my prayers are with you too - prayers for Safety, and Protection.
To the American People, support our fighting men and women - they are the key to your continued safety, peace at home and way of life - they are more noble than you can imagine, they have chosen to stand up for you, to put themselves in harm's way, to die if necessary - for you.
To the enemies of the United State and all other democracies - be afraid. You have chosen the wrong enemy - as we do not understand you, you do not understand us - our soldiers will not concede defeat, our politicians may withdraw, but our soldiers will not.
To the Government of the United States - stand behind your fighting men and women. Protect your citizens by using your soldiers well.
Happy New Year - pray for peace, pray for the safety of our troops, pray we have the conviction to continue the War on Terror, and prevail against those who would steal peace.
