I think it's turned the 7th over there by the time I've written this. If not, apologies.

In memory of the men who died defending Hawaii.

Lest we forget.

It's not the Seventh yet, but no apologies needed. Thanks for remembering.

We spell it Pearl Harbor, and the men died defending America.

Hawaii itself had no military forces. Appreciate the sentiment anyway.

Been on the Arizona Memorial many times, got a flag right here that flew over it. I served in a Quad at Schofield that still had bullet holes from Japanese strafing.

RIP, gentlemen. May we never be caught that unprepared again.

Great story.

Some are saying this will be the last reunion. I like the tie in to the last Gettysburg reunion. Passing of a great generation. I hope our kids still live in a free America and are able to say the same as we leave.

My Uncle Elmer was aboard the USS Arizona when it exploded. He was a machinist mate, and somehow ended up out in the water. The explosion or the oil in the water or the smoke screwed up his lungs and the Navy discharged him as 100% disabled. So he went to work at an ammo shipping point, operating a crane loading ammunition onto ships heading into the Pacific. He refused to let anyone tell him he had already done his part or done enough.

It surely was a different time.

My uncle was at Schofield that morning. He received an AD appointment to USMA, Class of 1945. He was KIA as a Company Commander with the 9th IR in Korea during Operation Killer in '51.

May they all rest in Peace.
As TR stated a passing of a great generation. My mother has a cousin who is still on the USS Arizona. When I a young, Dad was Stationed at "Pearl", he took us on the bay in a row boat. We floated over the Arizona. He was on the USS Alden off of the Philippines when the attack took place.
