I don't care who wins as long as the game is not close.

I think that Ohio State will win, but by less than a touchdown.

The problem with Ohio State is they all insist and somehow get off on calling their school "THE" Ohio State University. Pretty freakin gay if you ask me.
ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) -- Bo Schembechler, who became one of college football's great coaches in two decades at Michigan, died Friday after taping a TV show on the eve of the Wolverines' No. 1 vs. No. 2 showdown with perennial rival Ohio State. He was 77.
"You only meet someone like that once in a lifetime," Michigan executive associate athletic director Mike Stevenson told the Ann Arbor News. "In the history of Michigan athletics, nobody had a bigger impact. He was passionate, bright, and an unbelievable leader. He loved Michigan."
Schembechler became ill and collapsed while taping the show, Big Ten Ticket, at WXYZ in Southfield, the station said, and he was taken by ambulance to an area hospital

My condolences to all Michigan fans from a lifelong Ohio State fan. He and Woody made this rivlary what it is. I was a young boy when Bo and Woody were on the sidelines, so I remember very little about that time. But I do remember Bo on the sidelines when I was a young man and I have a ton of respect and admiration for what he brought to college football. He helped develop outstanding young men.

You get cranky when your team is not playing well. Don't lose to CAL on the way to the Irish game. Hate for Notre Dame to lose computer points when we hand your team thier ass.
Nothing better than a win over Michigan.
Only question is who's going to make it to Arizona with us?

I think Michigan is the 2nd best team in the nation. Do they deserve a 2nd shot at it? I am not sure. It would be hard to keep USC from going if they win the last two games. Notre Dame vs. USC is never a given (even if our DB's are always sick because they couldn't cover themselves with a blanket at night.)
I am not sold on either Florida or Arkansas making it a game (especially after the Razorbacks lost earlier to USC) My choices are either Michigan or USC. No way Notre Dame, after taking a whipping from Michigan, makes it to that game if they beat USC. But, this is the BCS we're talking about so logic is not in play.
It doesn't matter, though. Jim Tressel has been winning national championships for years now (I think he has four at Youngstown State.) Give him the next month and 1/2 to prepare his team and he does not lose.
Prediction:
Notre Dame goes to USC and wins, and we'll see Ohio State vs Michigan II.
CLEVELAND — Ohio State's 42-39 victory over Michigan also was lucky for players of the Ohio Lottery.
Shortly after Saturday's game ended, the numbers 4-2-3-9 were drawn for the Pick 4 game.
"You know it happens," lottery spokeswoman Marie Kilbane said Sunday.
Lottery spokeswoman Mardele Cohen said 401 $1 bets were made that picked 4-2-3-9 in order and each bet won $5,000. The odds of the numbers turning up in that combination were 10,000 to 1.

Sure did. It will be interesting to see who gets to play Ohio State. Not sure it really matters, though . . .

Michigan was robbed!
How do you go from #3, passed over by #4 to the BCS Championship when you havent played?
Did I mention that the only thing I hate more than Ohio State is Florida Football teams?
I cant believe that I'm accually going to pull for the Bucks in the final.....:(
This is another reason the BCS is flawed: I can make a very good case why the Gators SHOULD be in the game Jan. 8th. I just cannot come up with any reason why Michigan SHOULDN'T.
Both teams are capable of beating the Buckeyes.
OSU only beat MICHIGAN by 3 points!! If it was a blowout, I can see the reasoning. 3 points!! Come on. OSU by 20 over FLA.
OSU only beat MICHIGAN by 3 points!! If it was a blowout, I can see the reasoning. 3 points!! Come on. OSU by 20 over FLA.
I think the voters looked at the following and determined Florida was just as deserving:
1. Florida beat nine teams that are projected to play in bowl games. Michigan beat six.
2. Michigan beat FIVE teams that finished the season with losing records. Florida beat TWO teams with sub-.500 records.
3. Florida's 12 Division I-A opponents had a combined record of 89-57. Michigan's 12 opponents had a combined record of 84-61.
4. Wisconson is not a quality win. Michigan's best win is considered a 27-13 victory over Wisconsin on Sept. 23. The Badgers are 11-1 and are No. 7 in the AP Top 25 poll, despite having played only one ranked opponent -- the Wolverines -- the entire season.
5. The 12 teams Florida defeated finished the season with 11 combined wins against opponents which were ranked in the AP Top 25 poll at the time the game was played. The opponents Michigan defeated claim just three wins against ranked teams (Notre Dame beat Penn State. Indiana beat Iowa. Vanderbilt beat Georgia. The Nittany Lions, Hawkeyes and Bulldogs, it should be noted, haven't been ranked in seven weeks).
6. The Gators went 3-1 against ranked opponents, beating then-No. 13 Tennessee, No. 9 LSU and No. 8 Arkansas and losing at No. 11 Auburn. The Wolverines went 1-1 against ranked opponents, beating a highly overrated No. 2 Notre Dame team (that lost to Michigan and USC by a combined total of 46 points) and losing at No. 1 Ohio State 42-39 on Nov. 18.
7. The Gators' average margin of victory against Division I-A teams was 13.5 points. They won seven games by 14 points or fewer, six by less than 10. The Wolverines' average margin of victory was 17.3 points. They won six games by 14 points or fewer, two by less than 10.
8. The Gators played Western Carolina, a Division I-AA team, and won by 62 points. The Wolverines played Ball State, which should be a I-AA team, and won by eight.
9. Since the Wolverines last played and lost at Ohio State, the Gators won at Florida State (The Seminoles are 6-6, but rivalry games are tough to win. Just ask USC coach Pete Carroll) and then beat the No. 8 Razorbacks, who defeated then-No. 2 Auburn and No. 13 Tennessee by 17 points each.
10. Michigan didn't win the Big Ten; Florida won the SEC. Winning your conference should be a prerequisite for playing in the national championship
Again it is hard to make a case against either of these teams. Michigan played their last game a few weeks early and I think that hurt them - out of sight out of mind, so to speak. Florida is the same type of team Ohio State was coming into the 2002 NC game against Miami - nobody is givng them much of a chance. I guarantee Jim Tressel has his team WELL aware of this!!

JMI, did you (as an ardent Domer) really create that lengthy post while starving children in upper Holymackrelstan go hungry awaiting spoiled oyster, and goat dropping shipments? My GOD man get back to work!

I think the Rose Bowl may prove to be a better game than the BCS game. I don't see Florida hanging with OSU, although they certainly have the horses to win the game on a good day.

Although I am a college football junkie you're right, time to get back to work.
Here is a good article that argues for Michigan (http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/columns/story?columnist=wojciechowski_gene&id=2685195) and counters the argument I produced for Florida.

The commentary on the BCS slating show led to belive that the it appeared as though they didnt feel it would be "fair" for Ohio State to have to face Michigan again.
They might as well have thrown Boise St into the BCS.........
good thing its hockey season!

Thanks Counselor.........I'm glad you concur.
As I already owe you a drink..........if you are ever in my neck of the woods please let me know and maybee we can catch a game, my treat.
While I'm not a Crapitals fan.........I'd rather watch them than watch Ohio St play any Florida fpptball team for a National Championship! I'm just waiting for the fight that the Florida team starts during the game.....I hope they have plenty of law enforcement on hand to control the Gators on the sideline!:boohoo
