This video shows the internal workings of an AK47 on full auto and in slow motion. Interesting.

i watched this video, it was cool.

Mine is broken, I have an arsenal arms semi-auto variant. When I shoot it, it always shoots to the right. I bought the sight adjustment too and tried to fix it that way. Nothing, just a die-angled line shaped group. I took it home to field strip it and clean it up, when I found the problem. The front site post/gas return assembly is slightly off center. It leans a few degrees to the left. The barrel is secured in the stock, and everything in the receiver lines up and is tight (for an AK). So my question is how can I fix this? Can I just bang on it with a rubber mallet? Do I have to bring it to a gunsmith?

The piston plunger does show signs of hitting/rubbing the joint where the tube meets the front site post/gas return assembly on the right side.

here is a picture of the weapon(not my weapon, but same model) for clarification.
