Something fishy about the cause of this fight -- I think the old vet probably stole his woman. :lifter

Good for Mr. Taggart! I find it encouraging to know that elderly men will not surrender their principles. :lifter

The only thing worse than beating up on old people is having one kick YOUR ass.

Well done, Sir!

Gene Hackman did something similar a few years back.

Gene Hackman kicks ass! I favor his performance in "Enemy of the State". While its premise and reality are utter and complete bullshit, his performance was admirable.

One of the (older) astronauts punched out some guy who was heckling him a few years ago, forgot his name.

Colonel "Buzz" Eugene Aldrin

In September, 2002, Bart Sibrel (a vocal proponent of the idea that NASA faked the moon landings) repeated demands (over several years) that Aldrin swear an oath on the Bible that he had walked on the Moon, or admit that it was all a hoax. Aldrin had pointedly ignored Sibrel, refusing to swear an oath, and Sibrel was becoming much more aggressive with Aldrin and several other Apollo astronauts. Sibrel often gained access to the astronauts by lying, claiming to represent organizations that he does not, and assuming false identities. When he approached Aldrin on 9 September 2002, he cornered Aldrin and a young female relative, stood in their way as they tried to leave the area and shoving a Bible towards Aldrin several times, called Aldrin "a coward, a liar, and a thief". Aldrin punched Sibrel in the face, later indicating that he felt forced to defend himself and his companion. Sibrel suffered no permanent injury. Although the Beverly Hills police investigated the incident, charges were never filed.

See, this is why it's not a good idea to go messing around with old war vets. There's a reason why they are still alive after the war!:lifter
