I just got through watching my first episode. What a crock of shit. But at least it ain't Latin American Idol (you guys think you got it bad?) or or that queer guy show.
They should fire their freakin' technical consultant...;)

Of course, Haney wasn't SF but a Ranger and the show sure has that "Rangers do it all" slant!!!!!!

Not Tabbed, but I do know that there have been quite a few Rangers that couldn't make it through the Pipeline!! Anyone have any stats on SF through Ranger School?!?!
This was not a knock on Rangers, hell, I was a Recon Squad Leader in A-Company 75th BEFORE the Batts were formed when I came CONUS after RVN-SOG!! Plus OUR heritage stems from the Rangers!! Just that the whole show, possibly thankfully, leaves the QPs in the shadows!!

Yeah I bought the whole series. Yep it's a terrible show but it's all hollywood..I actually prefer that they are putting out cheese on their tactics and acting. It gives the fans (there are a lot) something to enjoy without giving too much info away on how we do things. On a brighter note, the show does shed some light on what military families are going through. Will I watch any of the second season??? Nope, but many people will.

I used to enjoy JAG or Pensecola Wings of Gold... If you looked past the ridiculousness of the military parts of the show, there were some good looking women. That's all I can really hope for out of a primetime tv show about the military.

I'd just returned from a run up North.;) Several RIs were there also, they would pretty much cover my ass when they were walking however; If they were not around...ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE!:D

I have never seen the show...To me the big deal is that he BROKE THE FAITH, he signed a "no kiss and tell contract", he violated that big time in his book! That's just plain wrong!

Same story for me, SFQC in 83 and Ranger School in 91. Took a lot of heat from RIs until pre-phase inspection for the Florida phase. Seems a group of slickies used the 8-hour break to break into supply and steal MREs, which they tried to smuggle into the Florida phase by 100 mph tape under their uniforms.
This was a pretty pathetic sight. A platoon of emaciated ranger students except for these 4-5 round ranger students, all standing together. Pretty easy to figure out what's wrong with this picture and find Waldo.
RI feeding frenzy ensued, harassment fires lift and shift, taking the heat off the SF CPT...IIRC the RIs called these errant students the "Michelin Men" and a substantial dose of non-judicial punishment was inflicted.
BTW, I think the technical term the RIs use for those out only for number one was "spotlight ranger"....

I think Haney and Chris Ryan have some kind of a sweepstake running as to who can make the worst show run for the longest amount of time.
Somehow, Ultimate Force has got season 4 at least. Fuck knows how. It's sooo bad.

But scopes are, like, the COOLEST! Rambo would totally have had one LOL!
I imagine the writers of this show sitting around a big mahogany table, tossing back and forth ideas, giggling like middle school cheerleaders, and using lots of words like "KAPOW!", "annihilation", and "rough justice".
Sigh.

I watched the first season, and it was tollerable, except that the Col. was sexin up one of the "unit' guy's wife... doubt that happens in the brotherhood, now the episodes this season having the "unit" operate on US soil and all law enforcement know who they are when the see them storming through a Hardware store with guns blazing.... damn sad...

LOL - We are back watching Survivor this season after abandoning it several years ago. How could I not watch when they put together an all-Asian tribe?? But that just shows the stupidity of Hollywood (again). Just because we all look same doesn't mean a Filipino would automatically get along with a Korean, for example. I was also somewhat taken aback that the first time they put a Vietnamese brother on national TV, they picked a hippie!!
Thank heavens for NFL Network - that is one catchy commercial, "NFL Replay...on Tuesday!"

Now I am not sure if this is true or not but I heard the only time 7th Group guys go to the field is when they are at SWC!

When I was in SWC 1997. I had a picture of the inside of a hotel room in the middle of my PP presentation. When it came up I said it was for the third group guy's who never seen the inside of a hotel room.
