After a few days, should we migrate these items over into terrorism or somewhere else? The reason I ask is because after a few days, it really isn't breaking information anymore and the hot items will be easier to read if we keep it fairly clean.
If you all agree, how much time should pass?
Just a thought.

As fast as information is available, I'd say no longer than 24 hours. At that point you've already gotten several updates.

I think 48 hours would be good. It's long enough to allow for sufficient consumption and reply, and can then make room for other breaking news.
