View Full Version : My new assignment...
Well I've been at my new district (8.8 square miles of dope, gangs, and cultural diversity) for a couple of weeks now, and allow me to vent...:D:
I have had to jump more fences in the last couple of weeks than in my entire lifetime previous..one of the perks of my new assignment in the hood, I suppose. I'm too short to do one of those pretty little one-handed hops over the chain link, but at least I haven't gotten hung up on one yet. Knowing my luck, I'll catch the ol' polyester in just the right spot to leave my ass hanging in the breeze. Between the fences and the active shooter training with the SWAT team, I look like a DV victim with all my bruises.
Illegals suck. If I have to work one more felony hit-and-run or write one more citation for no operator's license, I'm going to kick Chachi. My favorite moment was the other night when we busted a whorehouse catering to illegals. The first officer in the door had the pleasure of finding Jose the 5'1", 110# john hitting Sandra the 5'9", 200# prostitute in the ass. It was like a Chihuahua mounting a Great Dane. Of course, I'm the lucky girl who then gets to search ol' Sandra. BTW, Razor: Joachim. These people love my Spanish...I think I laugh at myself more than they laugh at me, though.
Drama queens also suck. If I have to deal with one more hysterical female, I'm going to kick her too. Don't these people realize I have low negative emotionality??
On a positive note, I did manage three felony arrests in three nights last week, so at least I'm staying busy, although I'm bored as hell on my off days. One can only hike the local little mountains so many times before needing new scenery, or go drinking with Scotty so many times before wondering why his hair looks better than mine :p.

:D You'll just have to spread the word.
Ok and I can't believe you admitted to Scottay having better hair in a public forum. LOL!
Stay safe, K.

Blue-
Sounds like fun, fun, fun! We are going to have to get you enrolled in a cultural diversity class though, remember, the undocumented workers in this country seem to have more rights and government benes than those of us that actually pay for them. I just hope your ghettos in NC are better than the ones her in NJ.
Be careful out there, ok.

Rookies. :D
Googles,
Her couple of weeks sound like a few hours in one of our nights?
Sorry boys, not a complete rookie. October will mark 9 years in LE, this is just a new department and I'm enjoying being out of investigations for the first time in five years. I get to run around like a kid again.
Learn the good coffee spots and clean bathrooms......Priority
Starbucks gives us free whatever-we-want, and the only clean bathroom in my district is the team office :D.

Ahhhhhhhhh well then I'll partially retract my rookie comment, at least until you learn to play nice with the illegals! Nothing wrong with running and playing Blue, it's the best part of the job. Word of caution-don't wear rings at work. I've seen three cop's fingers go "bye bye" jumping fences. Besides you increse your chances of badge bunnies (hares in your case) flocking to you. ;)
Come up mine and Five-0's way some time. Busy is not the half of it! :D
What, ME not play NICE??!!! I am shocked, shocked that you would even think such! *glares at Razor..keep your mouth shut, pretty boy*
I used to wear a ring when working extra jobs on the north side back home in an attempt to keep the male badge bunnies away, fat lot of good that did me. Ditched the ring because of the aforementioned issue and now just stick with the "thanks, I'd cuff you but my boyfriend wouldn't like it and I don't have any way to sanitize them" line :).
I hope to make Police Week this coming year, since I've had to miss it the last couple of years. If I get up that way, I'll definitely give a holler. Maybe now I can get a little vacation time.
