View Full Version : Browned Butter and Mizithra cheese pasta

INGREDIENTS:
1 pound spaghetti
1 cup butter
3/4 pound Mizithra cheese

DIRECTIONS:
Cook pasta in large pot of salted, boiling water until al dente. Drain.
When pasta is almost done, start slowly melting butter over medium heat until golden. Skim butter solids off top. Toss pasta with butter. Sprinkle with cheese to taste.


Tried this last night, damn tasty. Nutritional value? Who cares; it's damn tasty:lifter

I imagine you could use olive oil instead of browned butter, all it really HAS to do is stick the shredded cheese to the pasta. Would it taste the same? No, but I am sure it would still be pretty damn good.
