Those of you in the Phoenix area that would like to join me in the desert with a few hundred rounds of whatever I plan on shooting May 10-12. (Doc T will be out of town, I have to watch the dog.)
Probably shoot in the mornings and leave by 1300 hours. This is not at a range but on BLM land out near Buckeye (just off I-10). (I usually shoot with an LEO or two out there.)
Send me a PM if you would like more info.
(Brad, you are invited!)

I'll be there.
I'm just wondering if the thread below is related
http://www.professionalsoldiers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10541&highlight=shooting+dogs
He asks how to and provides his considerations, and then posts an offer to go shooting. I think Doc T may be dogless when she returns. :D
I'd love to, but gotta inprocess Bragg starting 10 May. Damn work thing getting in the way of fun again!
I'll be there.
There ya go! These lawyer types only get specific when they want to.

Tues am
Thanks RL. I could sit here and type alot of stuff. Comes down to, having talked to TS, working out when to go. Was between Tues and Weds. Thought about it more last night. After the call, it came to Weds. But, figured Tues would be better. For several reasons.

Great! I will look forward to meeting you.
Spoke to TS today RL and changed it to Tuesday. He will be out Weds. with a couple LEOs. It didn't matter to him, but it kind of did to me. They are out there everyday doing thier job. Right now it is more important that they get the training from TS. I'm a FOG. I didn't keep up the skills or practice for some 30 years. Besides, I may just go out Weds. too. But it would be my pleasure to meet you.

Thanks again TS for a great day. Brad and Bill, was a pleasure to meet you. Two lawyers and two QPs with a bunch of guns and ammo! Good times. LOL
Yeah. The only blood let was mine. It just wasn’t enough to fulfill TS’s requirements of blood letting. So it didn't count. ;) Still don’t understand how that piece of whatever, came from that angle.
I knew TS was an exceptional shot, but to see it, is a treat. There isn’t much I can add to what others that have shot with him have said out here before. He is also great instructor. I learned a lot. We all did. RL was impressive. It was his third time shooting. It impressed me. That’ll give ya’ll a good idea of how good an instructor TS is. He’ll have his work cut out with me however. I’m an older guy.
One other thing. You don't want to even be 260 yards from TS even if he only has his HK in his hand. :D

I’m a lurker here. I’ve nothing of interest of offer, so I keep my mouth shut, and read. But, I went shooting with Team Sargeant today, and came away from the shoot impressed, very impressed.
I’m not new to shooting. I’m lucky enough to live in Phoenix, where there are good ranges. I’ve participated in pistol shoots with Brian Enos, Rob Leatham. I’ve shot 1000 yd matches with and pulled targets for the likes of Mid Tompkins, his wife, Nancy Gallagher and her daughters, Michelle and Cherie, as well as other Palma Team members, such as Norm Crawford and Tom Whitaker. So, I’ve seen some impressive shooting.
After some “meet and greet” and warm up shooting, we got down to it. I thought, OK, so TS can put 3-5 rds from his trusty HK (stock) into one hole covering a 1" sq. pastie from 7-10 paces. So, he can knock off 12 gauge husks from the top of the 1" sq wood target stand. So he can put a .45 on target at 256 yds. I’ve seen that before (well, OK, I’ve heard of it). Not impossible, but takes a good shooter to do it. And, TS obviously had the training.
Well, then he puts a .45 case on top of the wood, open end down, and puts another .45 case on top of the first case, and says he’s going to shoot the top case off, and leave the bottom case on the wood. Yeah, right! Maybe after a few magazines.
Well, damned if he didn’t do it. I mean, he drew, focused - and I mean focused - fired one shot, and knocked the top case off. He left the bottom .45 case sitting on the stand. TS’ bullet not only knocked the top case off, but drove the bottom case into the wood so deep I couldn’t pull it out. TS had to shoot that one out too.
Now, I’m impressed. I’d only want to play guns with TS if he was on my side.

Sorry Smokin Joe, we didn't have a camcorder. Of course you know he can do it. You shot that one vid, you posted out here. Too bad you couldn't have been down here today.
Heyyyy! WR. Great to see you post.
WR shot very well today as well. I didn't mention him earlier, because he never posts and I didn't know if I should. Notice. This is WR's first post. my guess, the reason for that is what he saw what TS can do.

Shooting with the Team Sergeant is ALWAYS an educational expericence.
It is always TS saying that he will do.... I usually say to myself ya bullshit. Then TS does it.Shortly followed by me answering to myself (with my jaw wide open) son of a bitch he did it. I can't believe anyone could do that.
Every upstanding member of this forum should take the time to go shoot with TS just to see the man shoot... not to mention his exceptional instruction.
SJ........... Can't put it any better than that.
There is a tad more about today, but have to check with TS.

I’m a lurker here. I’ve nothing of interest of offer, so I keep my mouth shut, and read. But, I went shooting with Team Sargeant today, and came away from the shoot impressed, very impressed.
What WM failed to mention was the fact that after a short discussion he shot a few "bullet hole through hole" shots himself. If I remember he had a string of 3-4 going through the same hole. This is not a shot group, they went through the same hole. When WM did this he said he thought he was shooting blanks.....
Most have no idea what's its like shooting at a target and when it appears as if you are missing you are actually placing the shot through the same hole.....
It was a pleasure to meet you WM, we'll have to do it again!

Bill Harsey
05-10-2006, 13:27
a fruity drink in the other......;)
...made with little beer-berries.
We may not have much time for soda pop where we fish, if your not pulling in a fish you'll be hanging on trying to stay in the boat.
It ain't fishing unless we take the drift boat thru a little patch of class four rapids. If your fast, there is some VERY good fishing just at the tail of these.
Most other folks are still thinking about something else right there and forget to cast. :D
I never really got into fishing. I have a hard time sitting or standing in one place for long. Spearfishing and hunting shark with bangsticks was fun though. However, from your description of fishing in OR Bill, I do believe you just gave me a whole new viewpoint.

Col. Moroney,
Don't worry! We'll take care of the Team Sergeant in proper Oregon style!
First thing we'll do is get him some tie-dye rain gear, Birkenstock boat shoes and his own flask of patchouli oil to keep the skeeters away. We'll only fish flies tied from environmentally conscious vegan sources.
I don't know which crystal to get for "fish karma" but that's a deeply personal choice the Team Sergeant will have to make based on harmonic vibrations only he can feel while he's holding it.
He'll fit right in, no problem.

OK, here are some pictures.
1 -- Targets (TS at left). TS's long-range shot was at a dead Saguaro cactus about half way up the mountain. WRMettler measured the distance with rangefinder.
2 -- 12B4S gets some tips from TS.
3 -- 10-round group by RL. No, the hole on the left is NOT from this group. I will admit that this was my best group of the day. Why photograph a bad one? LOL
4 -- TS shows how it's done. (WRMettler behind him, 12B4S to his right)
5 -- TS shot off the top one, leaving the bottom one intact.

Judging by the pictures, RL shoots better than I do.
First thing TS says to me is shoot the target. Second thing he says is "Is that your stance"?!!!
I'm not sure how many times he told me about all the girls that can shoot better than me. I'm not sure how many times he mentioned that a particular shot/ sting of fire was embarrassing..........
Some things I learned.
1.) Everything I know is wrong.
2.) H&K good, LEM trigger.....not so much.
3.) I can hit the 12 gauge husks on the stick........if you give me enough bullets.
4.) I want an AR like TS's.
5.) The bar for acceptable performance keeps raising.
6.) The Team Sargeant is indeed a great teacher.
7.) My legs can get sunburned.........
8.) I need to practice, A whole freakin lot.
TS, Thank You again.
