Can someone fill me in on the "alure" of this particular TV program??

I knew there was a reason I never watched TV. Total waste of time!!

For those of us who do not pay for HBO, can someone tell us the context of this thread?

Never mind! I did some googling and found the answer! Never heard the expression before! I guess ignorance IS bliss at times.

One of Tony Soprano's Capo's was outted by two goodfellas at a gay bar in NYC. They had a meeting to decide how to handle it. If you watch the show you know that Tony also see's a shrink on the side. He confides to her that he doesn't want to kill him and that part of him realizes that homosexuality is more commonplace in society. One of his comments to the doc were along the lines heck there are even gays in the Special Forces.

I saw that too. Most offensive. I've heard many such comments made on TV regarding the military in general, but never expected anyone to have the Cajones to write a line like that about Special Forces.

edit: Typo

I did a double take when I heard the line, and remarked to my wife how it seemed to come out of left field. But that seems to be par for this season so far. The creator has completely surrendered to self-indulgence, from the extended literary allegory that was the first couple of episodes, to last night’s rant by Meadow against POTUS.

I can’t believe they delayed the final season for this junk. The writers have strayed far from what made it entertaining, and it’s time for the show to go.
