I just fnished reading 100 People Who Are Screwing Up America by Bernard Goldberg. If you are not familiar with Mr. Goldberg, he is one of the folks on HBO's Real Sports. This book is amazing in that it highlights how many liberals are in influential positions throughout this country. It is also nice to have as a reference so when you are booing some of the Hollywood stars and a friend questions your motives, you can quickly turn to their moronic quotes.

Actually, the information is so overwhelming, it was difficult at times to read. Maybe I'm a little naive; okay, I'm apparently a lot naive, but I did not realize the pervasive amount of liberal bozos in high positions. Additionally, their lack of integrity and intellectual dishonesty is homeric.

In the book he counts down the 100 people, his choice, in reverse order, then he writes a piece on each person. Courtney Love is number 95. His piece on her is as follows: "HO." lol. Number 81 is Tim Robbins. I've always thought Tim Robbins was a good actor. Enjoyed Jacob's Ladder and some of his other stuff. Mr. Goldberg goes on and on quoting Tim's over-the-top pacifism. He ends this segment with a story about Tim threatening a Washington Post reporter, Lloyd Grove, who interviewed Susan Saradon's mother who happens to be a George Bush supporter. Imagine that. "At this point, Grove tells us, Robbins moves within inches and said, 'If ou ever write about my family again, I will [bleeping] find you and I will [bleeping] hurt you.'

The funny part is that this is just the stuff that hits the papers. Can you imagine what goes on behind closed doors. Anyway, it's pretty informative and humorous at times. All in all it's scary to think some of these morons carry a certain amount of influence.

Sadly, 99.9% of the people who fix America are far removed form the public eye and wouldn't make for "interesting" reading. Luckily for Goldberg there is no shortage of short bus celebs on the other side to make writing a book about them easy.

He is still one person, and I don't know him. I get a conservative newsletter that was selling his work. One of the person's mention was a close friend of my family. The quote he(Goldberg) used was taken out of context. I don't care for Hollyweird, but I am not big conspiracies either. Regardless if I agree or disagree with someone, I expect honesty.

1. Service Members who have already helped, talking about the ones who made the ultimate sacrifice.
2. Service Members who are still serving presently.
3. Prior Service Members who preserved our freedom.
4. The entire extreme left (Moor, Soros, Hollywood.....etc. who contributed to the reelection of GW.

Good one. :D

I don't think one qoute taken out of context changes the substance of the book. Also, he never talked about conspiracies in the book.

Fixing the problem:

How about pastors, clergymen and college professors who actually teach something useful instead of running around and acting like poster boys for the melvin milk toast association or think they're part of the junior red brigade.

Parents who teach their children about duty, honor, country. We're talking essentially about the invisible heroes.

How about W who seems to be still standing tall in the shadow of the largest propganda wave I've ever seen. Reminds me of Jimmy Steward in Mr. Smith Goes to Washington.

Easy to point to groups who are doing good...much harder to point to individuals...so I'd like to make this intellectually challenging.

Using Tipping Point (http://www.gladwell.com/tippingpoint/index.html) concepts...who are the Mavens, Connectors and Salesmen (http://www.gladwell.com/tippingpoint/tp_excerpt2.html) who are moving the US in the right direction?

Who are the Paul Reveres and Ben Franklins and Thomas Jeffersons of today?

Off the top of my head:

Toby Keith
Jim Gilchrist, Founder of Minuteman Project
Tom Tancredo Congressman Colorado, Immigration Laws
Bill Cosby, telling it like it is, in my opinion. ( Currently, it seems, the population that should be affected by his epidemic have been inoculated.)
Michael Yon
George Bush, For doing what's right for the right reason. And history will tell but his Supreme Court nominations could change the landscape for decades on several key issues.
