...and all the rest of our military too because you guys have done your job too well.
After watching the first hour or so of TV tonight I figure it's you guys fault that you have protected the freedom of so many for so long, so successfully, that Darwin's laws no longer applies to this society as nature intended.
This extraordinary effort and sacrifice over many tens of decades by members of our military has let regions of society grow in a bubble of artificial, well OK, quite real, protection and intellectual fraud resulting in what I'm watching on broadcast television this evening, a show called the Oscars.

Bet we could reduce that Oscar crowd if some Hollywood dweeb got the bright idea to do a movie about Mohammed in the same fashion Gibson did "Passion of Christ"...
if those turd-burglars freaked out over a few cartoon depictions and burned embassies and ran around frothing at the mouth - imagine what they'd do to Hollywood for having an actor play Mohammed?!!
Hell, this is making me think about starting the rumor on some blogs...new movie being scripted by Alec baldwin & Al Frankin w/Mike Moore playing Mohammed...

I got up this morning and the girls were laughing at the cloths most of the "upper crust" were wearing.
The movies I went out to see were nowhere to be seen last night.
About 20 years ago it was about 50/50, now it's more like 95/5.

I have no idea what the movie "Crash" is about and I honestly don't think I'd even heard it's title until last night.
So what your saying is Hollywood found a way to stay true to form after all.

Did you catch the Oscar winning original song of the year titled "It's Hard Out Here For A Pimp" done by a rap group,3-6 Mafia, (at least those guys were EXCITED about winning) telling the story of how a pimp has to work hard pay the rent too.
So Hollywood thinks it's cute for some folks to sell women for sex...
and gives them an oscar for rapping about it.
This must be Hollywoods way of not being racist or sexist oppressors.

There spent a lot of time trying to convince people that Hollywood historically has been a positive force for social change, playing a bunch of clips from old movies that supposedly had a big social impact. I was surprised but pleased to see one of the films they highlighted: The Green Berets!

I caught a clip of these idiots trying to talk, could you make out what they were saying? I sure as hell couldn't. And apparently that's the "in" way to speak now too. Guess you aren't cool if "crunk" isn't in your vocabulary, lol.

One of the local radio talk shows this morning played good old George Clooney's sound bites that got me (exept the one where he said hollywood "may be a little out of touch". Ya think?). Then he starts talking about how (re: the social change/championing you mention above) they awarded the first black woman, from Gone With the Wind, an Oscar. Can't remember her name off hand.
Of course what he didn't mention was the stereotypical casting, which was prevalent by the way. She played the white rich folk's maid.

Hattie McDaniel but since GWTW was a 1939 film casting her as a maid, nanny of sorts actually, wasn't exactly typecasting. At least I wouldn't think so. I wasn't around in'39 but I don't think black women held too many executive positions. I don't think many women did regardless of color.
Regardless, the Oscars have sucked ever since Johnny Carson last hosted. I'm old enough to remember that! So there LOLOL!! Most movies aren't worth watching either now that I think about.
